Aman Soneji

About Me

Hailing from Bahrain, where I spent 18 cherished years, my name is Aman Soneji. Bahrain holds a special place in my heart, filled with fond memories of my childhood. My educational journey began at the Asian School in Bahrain, and later I transitioned to the Indian School, seeking a larger student body to help me overcome my shyness. Toastmasters International also played a significant role in boosting my confidence.  There, I earned the Competent Communicator title and actively participated in leadership roles.

Driven by a desire to make a global impact, I knew Bahrain wouldn't be my permanent home. With a focus on finance and a vision for the future, I moved to Dallas, TX, to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Finance with a concentration in Investment Banking at UT Dallas. While the choice of UT Dallas might seem coincidental, it undeniably broadened my perspective. Initially, I pursued a dual major in Finance and Management Information Systems. However, I realized the value of specialization and honed my focus on Finance, a field that perfectly aligned with my love for mathematics. Ever since I was young, I've been fascinated by numbers, and finance offered a practical application of this passion.

After graduating, I landed a role at Goldman Sachs Private Wealth in Atlanta, GA. There, I served C-suite executives for over three and a half years, helping them navigate complex financial situations and tax issues. This experience instilled in me a strong work ethic and unwavering dedication to my clients. I assisted with preparing and reviewing tax returns for various clients and entities, gaining valuable expertise in US tax law. While I relished the operational efficiency involved, a yearning for new challenges led me to a new role within Goldman Sachs' Partners Family Office in New York City.

This role broadened my horizons within the banking world. I provided financial and investment management services to C-suite executives, Pre-IPO partners, and former partners at Goldman Sachs.  Here, I collaborated with cross-divisional teams across continents, ensuring seamless daily operations for various aspects related to GS partners.  One of my achievements included spearheading the proof-of-concept for an investment tracking platform within the GS Private Wealth division.

After a successful four and a half years at Goldman Sachs, I embarked on a new challenge: an MBA program at HEC Paris, joining the September 2023 cohort. Currently, I'm engrossed in personal projects that I'm eager to bring to fruition in the near future.
